LA Performance Center

The Los Angeles Performance Center, was founded by CEO & Artistic Director, Natalia Lazarus, in 1996. When she realized that the bustling Promenade location that the Universe had granted her to manage, was the home of many artistic endeavors, ranging from a theatre, The Promenade Playhouse, to an International school, the LA Performing Arts Conservatory, to a weekly Stand Up show, Third Street Comedy, to a faithful troupe of artists, The Promenade Players, to international and domestic guests with workshops, film festivals, and theatrical productions…The list kept growing, direction and vision were a must.

It has been an arduous but fulfilling transformation. As painter, Catherine Andrews, said, “to travel the journey of life with clear vision, is to arrive.” The answers weren’t always evident and the challenges were always eminent. In my search for meaning and purpose, the view inward was inevitable; and just like in the arts, I realized that all the answers were right in front of me. I just simply had to step into what I had been destined to create, a home for artists. Thank you to all who have supported us in this journey. Welcome and join us as we continue to build the Center together…
